All NC bail agents are required to take a two-day class held once a month in Wake County (usually a Monday and Tuesday), upon completing the class the NC DOI will contact each prospective agent with a test date. Upon passing the examination each agent will be issued a license and may begin writing bonds.

The state allows you to charge a 15% fee for every bond you write.

For bail bonds $5,000 or less, we share that fee equally (7.5% each).
Bail Bond Partners, however, absorbs the insurance company fee in our 7.5% interest.

For bail bonds over $5,000, the first 2% goes to the insurance company and the remaining 13% is shared equally (6.5% each).
